By air

Malaga-Costa del Sol International Airport

Located 8 kilometers from the city, the Malaga-Costa del Sol International Airport offers regular flights to major Spanish and European cities. From the airport, you can quickly reach the center of Málaga by train, bus, or taxi. A taxi ride can cost 20 € approximately the fare varies depending on the time of day, day of the week, holidays, and service surcharges). The commuter rail line C-1 reaches the city center in 12 minutes and the ticket costs 1,80 €. The trip on the bus line A Exprés Aeropuerto (Línea 75) takes about 15 minutes and its price is 3 €.

By train

Málaga-María Zambrano Station

Malaga is connected by the the High Speed Rail (AVE) to Madrid (Approximately 2 horas y 30 minutes of travel), Córdoba, Puente Genil, Antequera, Zaragoza, Tarragona y Barcelona. Malaga is also connected to other major cities in Spain via long-distance and medium-distance rail lines. The city boasts the modern and centrally located Málaga-María Zambrano train station, situated next to the intercity and international bus station. There are also several city bus lines that arrive at the station from different areas of the city. Long-distance tickets include free use of the Cercanías commuter trains that connect to the city center and Malaga airport.

By bus

Malaga bus station

Malaga's bus station is located near the centre, next to the Maria Zambrano train station. It is an important communication hub, as companies offering international routes, originating and destined for Europe, operate there. There are also lines that connect with the rest of Spain, as well as intercity buses that connect with other cities in the province of Malaga and Andalusia.

By road

Malaga is connected by road to the rest of the Peninsula via theA-45 and A-92 motorways. The A-45 connects with the A-4 (Southern Highway), which leads to Madrid. The A-92, which crosses all of Andalusia, is where all the other highways and motorways in the country converge. The A-45 allows access to Malaga via Ciudad Jardín to reach the city center, or to the eastern and western ring roads when the destination is another area of the city.
